Survey Results

Question 1: When you think of a criminal what words do you associate with them?

The most common words people associated to criminal were (7 out of 20) "misunderstood" and (8 out of 20) "uneducated".

 

Question 2: Do you feel that race plays a factor in the perpetration of crimes?

17 out of 20 chose "No" with a mere 3 out of 20 choosing the "sometimes/among other factors" option.

Question 3: What factors do you feel contribute to criminal activity?

The most common answers for this category were (12 out of 20) "mental state" and

(15 out of 20) "economic status". 

Question 4: When you hear about a crime, do you normally jump to conclusions or educate yourself on other factors that could have affected the crime?

13 out of 20 chose "no" and a mere 7 out of 20 chose either "yes" or "rarely".

Question 5: Do you feel criminal activity statistics based on race are skewed? 

The most common answer for this question was "yes" with 18 out of 20 choosing this option.
